Out of his personal, day to day, relating withJesus and his understanding of the Scriptures, John Eldridge insightfully describes several qualities of Jesus’ personality. I understand more of who Jesus is and I love Him more because of that. As I listened to John read his book, Beautiful Outlaw, I was able to see how being religious is not the same as having a relationship with Jesus. In fact, being religious prevents a right relationship with Jesus from developing. The book was delightful and sobering and all together refreshing! I am on my 3rd time through the book. It has motivated me to delve deeper into Scripture and be in continual communion with my Savior and Friend. Every believer will be blessed in reading this work.
