The Unified Civilized Council has struck at the Terran Confederacy of Aligned Systems and struck hard with biological, genecracker, and nanite warfare, causing tens of billions of deaths and wiping out the populations of entire systems. The Unified Council is using the Confederacy's refusal to turn systems liberated from the Precursor Autonomous War Machines as the cassus belli for their attacks and have struck without a declaration of war, going straight for their non-conventional tactics. The murderous Precursor Autonomous War Machines have returned after spending nearly a year refitting, rearming, and reactivating reinforcements and have attacked Council and Confederacy where they find them.

The Confederacy is not the helpless victim the Council or the PAWM thinks it is, and the Terran Confederate Space Force has arrived with the roar of HEAVY METAL IS HERE! in dozens of systems.

Unknown to any of the combatants, a new player has entered the game that will change the entire war for the worse.

Great story

Amazing story, horrible AI narration. I'd love to recommend this series to friends and family but can't justify it with the narration. Additionally, the series isn't organized and each acts as a standalone book.

A great story ruined by awful narration.

I am a fan of the author, who originally published on reddit, great story line wonderful worlds and characters. This A.I. narration is like having the audio equivalent of draino enima. no inflection, no life in the characters or event telling. the narration ai Vince is bland, like eating recycled cardboard for cereal bland. Amazon you suck. bring back human narration that has depth, warmth and emotional context.
