No one has her life more mapped out than Kai Merlin. She'll succeed her mother Galen and carry out every duty expected of her - the most important of which is to keep hidden the secrets her people have kept for eons.

Vivien Palmer's life has been just as planned out by her parents, and their dream is for her and her brother Franklin to eventually run the family business. But Vivien's dreams lie in the depths of the oceans searching for clues to the shells she and Franklin wear around their necks.

A chance encounter as children forever linked Kai and Vivien for life, but can they find a way to be together despite what's expected of them?

The answers lie beneath the waves.

I have always loved the water from a young age. When I wasn’t in it or near it I could feel an agitation in my soul. I am a Cancer so it would only make sense, right? “Beneath the Waves” brought back youthful memories and the wonders of water. The characters aren’t perfect, but have faults you can relate too, and some you might not be able to understand; but they will keep your attention. I have read and/or listened to many of Ali Vali’s books and never been disappointed. You will not be disappointed.

Another great read for anyone wanting the dream of Atlantis to become a reality.

Im a huge Ali Vali fan and take every opportunity to read/listen to her books. This book was no exception. I enjoyed the world beyond and how she crafted it, made me want to go reread old books to relive the memories. The main characters were a great match and i liked the chemistry between them. The book had a bit of a mystique mixed with some mystery feel. I found myself playing detective through many parts and loving it. The one issue i had with the book was the narrator. She just didnt do it for me with the majority of the secondary characters. I got annoyed at the voices of them because they were the magnificent people but all sounded like they were 10..ugggghh. She did a fairly decent job on the main and male characters tho. Overall good book!

Ali Vali is awesome!!

I wasn't crazy about the narrator but that was just my thing, she was ok. I loved the story,as with all of Ali Vali's books. Her stories are original, well developed, and well written.

Original story

The story has great potential but the narrator wasn’t the best choice. You’re better off reading it yourself.

Could have been better.
