Awakening, the ultimate achievement, the number one way to ensure a successful future.

Alexa was close to achieving this ultimate goal only to realize how unimportant these goals were, without being able to share them with those she truly loves.

As her opportunity arises, external factors change everything, taking away that which Alexa holds dear.

Now, in her moment of deepest sorrow, she must rise up once more, protecting the world from multiple enemies all hiding in plain sight.

There will be a reckoning, and her name is Alexa Thyme.

All great, accept the Flash! Bang! stuff. Sound and sight blurbs from comic books do not work in an audio book. It's just annoying when the narrator goes, Flash!, and then describes a light flash. Annoying! The reader found themselves annoyed.

Great!

I love Alexa Thyme but the author is overly wordy in all of their books. Concepts explained multiple times from multiple characters points of view. feelings that the characters feel are beaten into your to the point that they come off as just trying to fill space. and the ending of the book is unsatisfactory to say the least. the main character lives in a space where all decisions are black and white with zero Shades of Gray which negatively affects everyone around her this doesn't really become a problem until the last two chapters. and it's just annoying and unsatisfactory I won't read the next book if there's another one.

the writing is good besides being wordy and chatty the reader is excellent and if you like lit RPG Style characters that develop Powers over time this is a good book for it and the idea of the story is good it's just the stuff I already listed that I have problems with that will keep me from listening again.

it ok the end is meh

I love this series and I mostly liked this edition to it, but the long-winded and unnecessary retellings of the same scene were terrible and the completely unrealistic event at the end with veteran supers somehow thinking Alexa did something bad/evil despite them seeing everything was complete crap and such a forced plot device that it almost ruins the entire series.
