Everleigh Harper does everything in her power to stop a human trafficking operation—despite being trapped in a hellish dystopian prison—in the riveting final installment of the bestselling, Goodreads Choice Award–nominated 24690 series.

For the briefest moment, revenge was sweet. My husband was suffering before my very eyes, and Bram…he was alive. But my happiness didn’t last...

The man who claimed he wasn’t my savior held true to his word. Bram didn’t rush in and save me from the cruel fate of the White Room. No one did. Now I’m tortured with red light massacres and a hell I could have never imagined. Surviving will take everything I have, but I’m determined to get answers from the man who turned his back on me.

And just when I think it can’t get any worse…it does. Slave 24690 is all but gone. The evil woman reborn is what nightmares are made of. Insanity beckons, but even my madness won’t derail the plans I’ve set in motion.

Masters will fall. Conspiracies will reign. But will I be strong enough to let go of the one thing that could ultimately destroy me? And will it be worth the cost?

This was an excellent book. It tied up all the loose end in Whitlock. Again, Troy Duran read a lot of chapters so I was a happy camper. If you like very dark romance this is. So worth the wait for book 4.

Really loved this series and sad it's over. Narrators did an excellent job! This particular one seemed extremely fast. I didn't even realize it was already the end.

Great narrators

One word: Wow.

This series came at me like a freight train, and I absolutely ate it up.
The duet narration by Calamity Jane & Troy Duran is one of the best I’ve experienced with that type of books.

I can confidently say that if toxic were a book, it would be this series. The characters (Everleigh, Bram, Derek, 19, 11, the Dragon, etc.) and the places themselves (Whitlock and the Red Island) are pure chaos wrapped in steel walls: corruption, power games, secrets, betrayals, all of it simmering until everything finally blows. I swear every single chapter had me going, “WHAT NOW?!” because you don’t get a moment to breathe.

Please read the content warnings below. I have to warn you. One is pretty violent alongside the very heavy main subject (trafficking), it’s the murder on page of a small child. Please take care of your mental health.

If you want a story that grabs you by the throat and doesn’t let go, this is it.

It’s dark, it’s intense, it’s messy as hell and I loved every second of it. Perfect end.

I started this series looking for the high after the Adeline and L.O.R.D.S series - good LAWD I must say this is among the favorites. I had to wait for both these last books, and I really have to say the delivery was just *chefs kiss*

I hate that this is over, and this is definitely one I will likely come back to listen to again!!!!!

Sad its over!
