Most people dismiss Stroud as a fool - himself included. When Cordelia sees past his lighthearted facade, he's terrified and also...in love? Stroud barges into Cordelia's life, offering her all the material and sensual temptations she's learned to do without. She usually has willpower to spare, but turning him down, takes all of it, and then some. He's oddly irresistible. Or maybe they're perfect for one another.

I am picky about my novels and before this, nothing held a candle to P&P.

The Duke of stroud is like Mr. Darcy... If Mr. Darcy had a completely opposite twin.

The book had me dumbly smiling ear to ear so many times. The characters are all consistent, yet they also grow and throughout the book.

If you like a clever read, this one is for you. The premise, the plot, and the characters... All perfection. I really really liked the pacing too.
