I have lost my chance to claim a bride.

No more females remain. They have all been taken by naga males that will kill to keep them.

So, when I hear a female scream within my territory, I do not hesitate. I go after her, intending to claim her for my own and prove my strength. My worth.

This is my chance.

Except… she is not one of the human females I have come to know. She has just arrived. She is hurt, afraid, and fleeing from another male.

But she does not want to be saved; she wants to fight. And she does not want to bask in my nest; she wants to leave. She has secrets, and she refuses to share them. This human female is far more than I bargained for…

Good thing I'm up to the challenge.

Boomslang is the fifth book in the Naga Brides series. With the charm of a snake and the wiles of a devil, these bride-hunting aliens will do anything, and I mean anything, for their females.

This is Azsote's story.

Another outstanding book in the Naga Bride series. I got the Audible book the first day it was released and finished it the next day. The narrators were excellent. I am anxiously awaiting the next Audible book in the series.

I liked this next installment of the Naga Brides series. I can't wait for Julia's story. This one was great. it was nice to see an older woman and this naga was quite a nice friendly guy. I'm glad he finally got his female

A great continuing story

Normally I don’t like standalone books within a series, but these are different. There is a primary plot that connects all of the books and then there is a secondary plot (naga’s story). It’s not just meeting the characters in one book, to then get their own book. The primary plot helped keep me captivated with this series when it’s new primary characters in every book.
The one difference with this book from the others is that there are random inserts of AI voice (pretty sure it is anyways). It’s obvious, the tone of voice slightly changes and the cadence turns robotic. It’s in random snippets of a few words. I think this might be new because I don’t see any other reviews about it. It’s distracting enough that I removed a star.

One of the best monster series’s!

There are NOT standalone books - if you are new to this series please start at the beginning to get the greatest enjoyment as world building reveals happen in each book. This book in particular has the full cast of Brides and Nagas so it helps to know their backgrounds before reading/listening to this one.

As for this book, I really loved it. I loved that it was an older woman and Naga pairing. I loved that the humans are becoming a bigger threat with their weapons so some of the reveals in earlier books are being brought to the front again. I don't think the next book (Cottonmouth) will focus on it, but the Lurkers are still a threat and maybe distantly the Ketts. This series has so much going for it and I really hope eventually there is a Naga Husbands spin off or novellas (M/M or F/M) since Genesis 8 works on all humans.

Seriously, I kinda hated the first book because Vruksha is mean and a bit rapey, but the world building got me hooked. The 2nd book redeemed the series for me and now I can't wait for the next installment. I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone who enjoys sci-fi/monster romances with a bit of a dark omegaverse edge to them.

Loving this series
