In Fiasco, Kentucky, there is one rule: never fall for a Foxx brother.

It isn’t just small-town lore or neighborhood gossip—I’ve witnessed what happens when the men in my family get too comfortable and fall. And maybe that’s history now, but the responsibility to lead our family business and maintain our standing as the world’s most sought-after Kentucky bourbon is on my shoulders. Few others know the lengths I’ll go to ensure the safety of my business and family. Blurring morals and manipulating rules are all just part of the game.

There’s only one problem: Hadley Finch. My brother’s best friend, Fiasco’s small-town princess, an honorary part of my family, the daughter of a deplorable businessman—she’s the woman I swore to stay away from in a bargain I never wanted to make, and now . . . she’s my wife.

Hadley’s wild attitude and smart mouth have always been impossible to ignore. She’s the only person who pushes every last shred of my resolve. When she peels off her clothes, shares her desires, and uses a nickname that will be my undoing, the chaos that led us here falls away.

There are a decade's worth of secrets and lies between us, but if we can both get what we want—I’ll keep Foxx Bourbon, and she can escape the fallout from her father’s sins—then none of that matters.

Before she was mine, I was fine protecting her from afar. It’s never been about a happy ending or being her hero, but now, I crave both. Call it the Foxx curse or penance for my sins, but when all of it explodes and the lives of those I love are threatened, there are only two things I have left to bargain with: bourbon and proof.

Duet narration - Sean Masters & Victoria Connolly
Holy moly!!! This was rants in audio these two narrators did an amazing job! I loved them together!

Ace is the oldest Foxx brother and never saw himself getting married or falling in love. He is the protector of his family doing what needs to be done for the business and Foxx family. When Griz his grandfather comes up with stipulations to his will and the business Ace is faced with a choice, one that might just protect someone he’s been watching out for and secretly yearning for along with secure his roll in the business going forward.

Hadley is Lincoln’s best friend, she’s been around the Foxx family for years. She is sassy and loves to get under Aces skin. Hadley had no idea all that Ace had done for her over the years. She is dealing with the fall out of her father’s business and being harassed by his business partners and her father.

These two together are amazing, banter is on point, and absolutely fabulous spice!

As always I love Griz and the entire Foxx family universe. I loved the ending and thought it was a great way to wrap up this series!

Victorias writing is fun, flirty, a little mysterious, and had me grinning! Easy to follow. I definitely recommend this series.

Perfection!

Overall, I enjoyed this book! I loved the first two books, but this one fell short for me. The angst and tension previously portrayed between the two and the character development were lacking.

From the moment we met Hadley in Bourbon and Lies, she was always portrayed as a self made, take no bs type of woman. The fun and flirty banter between Hadley and Ace alluded to her feelings, but the depth of those feelings were downplayed until Bourbon and Proof. The moment she saw an opportunity to further her relationship with Ace, she lost all pretense of the badass, independent woman we knew and became the submissive woman Ace seemed to crave. In the bedroom is one thing, but she was subdued in all aspects, which missed the mark for me.

Sean Masters did an amazing job as Ace!! I found Victoria Connolly to be somewhat whiny, however, it did fit Hadley’s character in this book.

Justice for Hadley

I adore the Bourbon Boys series so much and Bourbon and Proof did NOT dissapoint! The narration brought Ace and Hadley's story to life beautifully. Sean Masters as ACE just about killed me (in the best way). Victoria as Hadley brought on the perfect amount of snark! Their romance is one for the ages. Cannot wait to read/listen whats in store for us next from Victoria Wilder.

Phenomenal
