I bought the book because I loved 'House on Fire' (written several years later, under her married name of Kistler), and was curious to see some of her earlier works. There were no reviews at that time. And Audible didn't even give a hint that Bonnie MacDougal and Bonnie Kistler were one in the same.
The characters in this book were not well developed and I truely couldn't find even one that I could empathize with. Their actions and thoughts just didn't seem to make sense.
The story was convoluted. It seems like a good mystery should give you that satisfying "Aha!" moment as the plot unravels but I had lost interest by the time this book ended.
There is alot of dialogue in the book and the narrated voices were just irritating. I will try to steer away from anything narrated by Elizabeth WIley in the future.

Not her best work....
