Everything I hoped for and more

Heartwarming and heartbreaking at the same time. I didn't know whether to be angry or to cry and found myself doing both with all the happenings in this series. I am looking forward to the next book and wish it was coming out a lot sooner.

I loved it and the narrators have a great easy voice to listen to and the characters are well described and the repeat of information on who the characters are blends in smoothly it isn't annoying..

Fourth novella in Widow’s Island series, this one had an extremely surprising ending.
This novella, featured Deputy Tessa Black and Special Agent Cate Wilde.
Dr. Henry Powers continues in the series as doctor and coroner for Widow’s Island and provides support when crimes are committed.
Henry and Cate’s relationship progresses.

Whoa. What???

This series has me enthralled. Which is interesting, because I don't really care for novellas. But while the books in this series are only a few hours long (which I'm sure many prefer), the characters and part of the storyline continue through. So, I'm in. From the beginning.

This particular addition to the previous stories put my head in a spin with some things I didn't see coming. Excellent. These characters are also beginning to feel like old friends, which is why I generally prefer longer novels. But the personalities here are rich, complex, and engaging in their own ways.

I'll keep reading as long as Kendra Elliot keeps writing!
