When a fire destroys a landmark home in Hastings and "national treasure" Sir Arthur Sutton's body is found in the debris, it seems that arson may be to blame. But, who would want the old man dead? Could it be his children—both with a strong motive? Or his ex-wife? His live-in carer? Or perhaps its one of those Westminster "chums" he got to know during his short spell in the Cabinet? Boyd had better find out before he becomes another detail for someone to tidy up.

The audiobooks in this series just keeps getting better and better. Too bad there are more books in the series but not on audiobooks

Just another version of being duped by another bad apple on the force. Is anyone going to wake up and see a trending pattern.

Duped Again!

*SPOILER ALERT*
The new police character as the bad guy trope. The minute a DI from another location is introduced into the team for a specific case, my suspicions arise. I was hoping it was a red herring but alas the ending was absolutely what I thought. Must be a common theme for Alex as the last book I guessed the ending as well. I have listened to hundreds of UK detective series so maybe I’m advanced 😁 or have just seen it all. Overall I really like the characters and learning about their lives so I’ll probably, maybe listen to the next one unless I find something more intriguing. At this point I have read (listened to) most of the authors and series in this genre so I’m running out of options.

Predictable
