Virtual voice was highly disturbing. Inflection of the voice was horrific on certain sensitive parts of the story. No one proof listened to how inappropriate it turned out? I have listened to bad stories and come from a bad story but this was hard to stomach because of that virtual narrator.

Virtual voice was horrid.

A sad story initially but very empowering in the end. I could not put the audiobook down. The title caught me by surprise as I was drawn to it as I was missing my family as I live in another country and had longed to reconnect with them again. Very inspired by her story!

Facing childhood trauma that was pushed down and thought to be forgotten.

This story is excellent and mind-blowing. Good insight into the narrow-minded hypocrites of the Jehovas Witness cult. The story could be even better if the author narrated the audible version in her own voice. AI removed all personality from the story as it was devoid of inflection, pauses, exclamations, etc.

Learned a lot about jehova witness

I love that she decided that the dysfunction would stop with her. Loved this book! The voice reading was difficult at times but I still loved it.
