Alyshia D'Cruz, daughter of Indian tycoon Frank D'Cruz, has grown up in London and Mumbai wanting for nothing. But one night, after a boozy evening out, she gets in the wrong cab home. Charles Boxer, ex-army, ex-police, has found his niche in private security. His specialty: kidnap and recovery. When D'Cruz hires Boxer to find Alyshia, Boxer knows Frank's crooked business empire has made him plenty of enemies. MI6 officers in India follow Boxer's leads and soon it seems more lives than Alyshia's are at stake, as the trail crosses paths with a terrorist plot on British soil. To save Alyshia, Boxer must dodge religious fanatics, Indian mobsters, and London's homegrown crime lords.

Would you try another book from Robert Wilson and/or Gildart Jackson?

I'm been a Robert Wilson fan, so I welcomed this book, but perhaps this will be the last one.

Would you recommend Capital Punishment to your friends? Why or why not?

Only those with strong stomachs, weak attachment to ethics and compromised humanity. In other words, nobody I know. A protaganist who "cares," but kills, his whining, shouting lady love who accepts the largesse of her ex-husband, the world class villain who owns the world and corrupts all in his reach. An unlucky ingenue whose supposed beauty captivates all men. An assortment of creeps. Almost all ends well after the stage is littered with corpses, and the worst monster turns out to have a heart of gold who funds a foundation to make up for the evil. Yech!!!

Have you listened to any of Gildart Jackson’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

He is the one bright spot. Wonderful voices and characters.

Was Capital Punishment worth the listening time?

Wilson can certainly spin a tale, but this one nauseates.

Killers deserve to win

Robert Wilson's novels are throughly researched and realistic. I can imagine this happening in actual life and his protagonist is life like with normal problems and abilities. The best seller writers rely on formulas with characters who are like comic book figures that are unbelievable and too heroic to be real. This book deserves a major award, five stars all around.

Realistic,intelligent and exteremly exciting novel

Overall, not a bad story, although it felt more like I was dashing through the screenplay for a Guy Richie film than listening to a proper novel. Keeping up with all the subplots was challenging in places. The narrator's performance was brilliant. He managed to breathe life into a dozen or so sparsely developed characters and keep the story interesting.

Decent screenplay. Fantastic narrator

Really a great and well crafted story. Listening to the audio story in the car had me gripping the steering wheel and spending many extra minutes in my car.

Great story. A fun listen
