The Beauty: Lily Daltry was the shy gardener's daughter who had nothing in common with the five siblings who lived in the castle on Kingman Ranch. Especially Stetson, a bully who enjoyed making her life miserable. Her only reprieve was spending time in the garden with her beloved mother. After her mother passes away, Lily leaves for England where she strives to get over her grief. But when her father gets injured, Lily must return to the Kingman Ranch and face the sad memories of her mother . . . and the bullying brute of her past. Stetson now runs the ranch and has no desire for Lily to be his guest. Can she tame the cowboy beast?

The Beast: The last thing Stetson Kingman needs is to stumble upon a beauty from his past. He has enough to worry about with four siblings, running a horse and cattle spread, and trying to figure out who is sabotaging the ranch. Lily should've stayed in England instead of dredging up the secret Stetson has kept buried deep inside. Seeing her floods him with dark memories . . . and desire. When his brothers get all cow-eyed over Lily, he has to claim "first dibs" so they won't get tangled up with a Daltry woman like their daddy did. But Stetson is the one who gets tangled up. When the dark secret is revealed, and the saboteur deals a deadly blow, can they put the past behind them?

Contains mature themes.

I loved the narration of this book! The variety of character voices and Texas accents is masterfully done.
The pacing of the storytelling is great- it moves along in just the right way to both engage and entertain the listener.

The romantic story itself is both meaningful and fun. There is a good balance of humor, sensuality, and more serious insights into the human condition.

Overall, it’s a great read that is easy to listen to and enjoy!
Highly recommend!
