Christmas is the last thing on my mind when the heating breaks in the dorms, and I’m stuck with nowhere to go. My parents kicked me out years ago, and I’ve spent every holiday since pretending it doesn’t bother me. But now I’m facing an empty campus and the coldest holiday of my life... until Coach Eric steps in.

He offers me a place to stay, but there’s a catch. Eric isn’t just my coach. He’s the one person I should never be anywhere near in this way.

The more time we spend together, the harder it gets to ignore the tension between us. His kindness makes me question everything I thought I knew about what I deserve, and when he looks at me as if he can see through all my walls, it gets worse.

Eric says it’s just a Christmas arrangement, but something tells me things won’t stay so simple. I’m not sure if I’m ready for whatever this is between us. I just know it’s something I can’t walk away from.

The drama part does not make sense

It is nice, that they know each other more than a few seconds, before they realise, they were meant to each other. But please, somebody is clearly stalking the coach, and they make love in the school(? training place) twice, but the stalker... and after X-mas, knowing i have a stalker, i would buy extra shades for my windows and make sure, nobody can see anythink, before kissing my student. It is also OK, the young boy thinks, feelings never change or doesn't have any patience, but really the coach has no self controll either? Then why doesn't he spend time in gay bars finding one night stands? After a year of morally questionable relationship, they are ready to go long distance, but they can't do solo or legal one night stands for a year? I would have focused on the drama being stalked by one of my students, maybe this student being also in love with the coach, noticing him looking at Flynn more gentle than anybody else in the group... Am i really the only one getting freak out about a stalker? Getting blown in the "office" but being discovered on a night everybody else supposed to get drunk celebrating, and somehow still managing to take picture of kissing teacher-student? In the f...ing home of the teacher, not on street, in the office or school??? Really?

But it wasn't like a homeless, pregnant girl meeting a reach controlling guy calling it "real love" and "soulmates", it could have been a really cute story, maybe some krimi elements or even thriller with the stalker. I wish it was either a legally and morally approved coworkers about the same status in hierarchie, neighbours, childhood friend discovering sexuallity or anything else; if only romantic. Or if it shall have drama, then something krimi like with the Stalker as the main issue, instead of whatever this supposed to be; having safe sex at the office, being taken pictured of while decorating christmass tree and kissing at HOME, where curtains, blinds or just at least closed doors should block the view of anything i want to hide. I mean although it wasn't posted on instagramm or whatever, but i am quite sure, when the couch was playing with his man part, the stalker was taking videos...

Nice

I actually enjoyed listening to the book despite misgivings in the title. The story wasn't as christmassy as the cover but very enjoyable. The HEA was great
