Caleb Cantrill is an Irishman whose luck may have just run out. He has two fortunes in gold and can't remember the location of either. And that's the least of his worries.

A gang of blood-thirsty bandits are riding north to claim his first fortune, sovereign gold, which he fled with after a bank job went wrong. His second fortune, an immense gold strike, comes with a monstrous blight attached, one he accidentally unleashed onto a small mountain town nestled in the heart of a remote Canadian valley.

Now, after running his entire life, Caleb must make a stand and fight not only for his friends and fortune but also his future, knowing that if he does, he will likely die trying.

loved how it kept your interest and the fact that it continues. can't wait for the next one

Katie Berry Does It Again!

Katie Berry does it again! I enjoyed stepping back into Lawless with new characters and new ferocious animals. I look forward to listening to the next one. The only criticism I’d give is I wish the characters was more well rounded but I’m sure I would’ve got more of a back story if I listened to the hr books that was released before this one.

VERY BORING

Sorry but the first two Claw books were good listens. This one goes backwards into the Western Days, nothing very exciting and the end leaves you hanging where you have to purchase the next book. Had a hard time getting through it and wasn't worth getting to the end.

downhill trend.

I loved the first claw. it was fantastic, with well developed and rounded characters, a driven and entertaining plot. the creature was scary. all around a great story, that made sense.
then the second one came out and the one dude was a.. werewolf? or? who knows.
and now this. a 2 part story which wasn't very interesting at all.
I bought them both, and I intend on listening to them both, providing into the sun can keep me interested for the entire 7 hours.
