Another idiot FMC

Stop. Writing. Moronic. Leading Ladies.

FULL STOP!

Why does the main female need to be an idiot just so she can be rescued. What's worse is it's always an FMC that's supposed to be smart. No, honey, you're not brave, you're an idiot. Troy Duran can do no wrong so narration was the best thing about this.

Beautiful start

I listened to a Royal Bastard series by a different author and fell in love with the club. I was skeptical about a different author. I can say that I’ve been proven wrong. I can’t wait for the next book.

Decent second chance MC romance. The main characters were forced apart due to club rivalry. Most of the problems they have don’t change in the present. Family and club rivalry are still a source of contention. I liked that there was no OW drama although there is some OM drama from a guy who keeps trying to claim the heroine. Speaking of the heroine she was frustrating. Although I like women that aren’t pushovers the fact she wouldn’t listen to the hero knowing that her brother and club were after her was seriously mind boggling. She willingly puts herself in danger and I’m not a fan of that. Overall good for an in between listen since it’s currently free with audible membership.

The book as a whole is awesome, but of course, that's a given whenever Ms Daphne writes!

MFC lacking

MFC is dumb as a dry dog turd. Go ahead, keep defending your loser brother until he kills you or has you killed. By the last hour I was hoping for the worst for her even though I knew it wouldn't happen.
