Perfect balance

I enjoyed the careful balance of description and action. I haven’t regretted reading any book I’ve read by Robert Kerns.

Violent

The main character claims to dislike unnecessary violence, but there was at least one of the times that he very nearly beat someone to death, that it was completely unnecessary. The “Shepherd” is becoming a bully.
