Listening for the first time, but not the first read of this series

Good growth arc. Great characters. I think this is the fourth or so time I’ve read this book. The narrator does a great job with the characters.

Love it

This author is great. She builds a world and society effortlessly and has you fascinated with the main character quickly. I also really enjoyed the narration. The performance was easy to listen to, easy to follow and pleasant. This is one of the series I re-read and listen to frequently.

Fast paced fantasy story

I’ve read the series and enjoyed this audiobook version greatly. The storyline moves quickly with plenty of action and the world building was strong (and continues to develop through the series).

It’s clean (no gratuitous swearing, sex (actually there’s no romance yet), or gruesome depictions of violence). I also like that it is in third person, even if the protagonist’s is the only point of view given.

I just couldn’t get into it. I found it uninteresting and confusing, like I was starting in the middle of a story.

Can’t wait for the rest of the series

I was excited to hear that this series was going to be recorded as it is one I’ve enjoyed reading numerous times. The narration adds even more depth to an already enjoyable story. I’ve listened to this book twice already and it is definitely going to be one I revisit again and again. Can’t wait for the rest of the series to be available in audiobook format
