This should be assigned reading before starting your first corporate job. It may not save you from yourself and stupid mistakes, but maybe if you listen to it twice, it might sink in

Wish I had this book at age 25

This book doesn’t aim to inspire. It tells the truth. And not everyone is ready for that.

Corporate Confidential is not a guide for the ideal workplace. It’s a field manual for navigating the real one. The one where power is quiet, consequences are invisible, and your instincts matter more than your resume.

If you’ve ever been told you’re too intense, too direct, too ambitious, this book will feel like a friend who finally says, “You’re not crazy. You’re not the problem. You’re just seeing clearly.”

It doesn’t sugarcoat. It doesn’t overexplain. It assumes you’re smart enough to connect the dots, and brave enough to act on them.

- If you’re early in your career, it will change how you play.
- If you’re mid-career, it will explain what you’ve already felt.
- If you’re senior, it will validate everything you’ve quietly adapted to.

Not everyone will love this book. But the people who need it will never forget it.

Thank you, Cynthia for being brave enough to write this.

I heard about this book a long time ago and I just got around to reading it. I should’ve read it a long long time ago. I am an HR professional. This was very eye-opening and surprising. What a high-quality read. I think anybody who wants to get into business or has been in business should read this and take it seriously even if you are a professional there’s a lot to learn here. I took copious notes and will consider this in my executive presence and my future job search.

Great Read as a HR Professional
