Feehan never let's you down

I don't know anyone who writes this well. The detail is enough to paint vivid pictures without droning. The action is so well written you feel like you're in the battle too. The whole series is fantastic

One of the best in the series

A female Carpathian (Ivory) was betrayed by the oldest Prince of the Carpathian race (Dravyn) and Xavier, a Mage who was teaching her how to use magic to expand her natural powers over nature. She was attacked and nearly killed by vampires during a violent sexual assault by the Prince. He could not accept that a female victim was able to fight back against him and win so he asked the mage to take her from classes for him. In return Prince Dravyn had to kill the mate of the female “Dragonseeker”, Rhiannon, and kidnap her for the mage. These two events started the long term war between the Carpathians and the Mages which has continued for hundreds of years. This book is Ivory and Razvan’s (Rhiannon and Xavier’s grandson) story.

I preferred the original audio of this book.

i do like the story but narration was a surprise. This new audio recording was a such disappointment. They didn’t use the dialect that the first recording used. Mispronounced Gregori as Gregory and the women’s voices weren’t great. I wish i could get the original recording.
