The Day of the Dead takes on a new meaning, when the dead don’t stay dead. Dr. Valentina Bellmonte, a cancer survivor, is the new coroner at Hope Memorial. Her faith is put to the test when a body arrives at the morgue drained of blood, and the man responsible for the crime is sporting fangs. Could vampires be real?

Her good friend, Dr. Xander Carlisle seems to know the truth, but he’s unwilling to confide in her. He has a secret of his own and it’s not just how he feels about her, but something else entirely, something he’s forbidden to reveal. Will their feelings come to light, along with his secret?

There is no point where you don’t know where the story is going, but that’s why I liked it :) In times of uncertainty, sometimes I just need to know what’s going to happen to ease the anxiety of living.
Cindy Price as a narrator is pleasant to listen to even at the faster speed my brain requires. Her own innate innocence comes through in the female main character, making Vally all the more endearing.

Predictable, but lovely

Enjoyable. The plot is pretty straight forward: this is a feel-good story. An easy read. The performance by the narrator was consistent and at times humorous. She narrated at a good pace and I really enjoyed her voice. The recording was decent. No background noise or static.

Sweet and Simple Story
