Storming Hell was only the beginning…

It was supposed to be a simple mission—hit the legendary mist-shrouded realm of an ancient people, secure the artifact that can send them back to Earth, and get out—but nothing is simple in the Land of the Black Sun.

Corporal Nephi Bennett finds himself lost in a deadly land where time and space behave strangely. Pursued by armies of jaguar-men, cannibal pigmy lizardmen, powerful necromancers, and fallen friends given over to the blackest evil, Bennett must push forward at all costs or risk being trapped forever.

Supplies run low, and the body count grows high. For Bennett and his fellow scouts, the only choice left is… Death or Glory!

could have done without all the religion shit, could use more carryhandle mounted optics, besides that solid book.

This focuses more on Cpl. Bennett, his changes, and how he addresses physical, material, and spiritual challenges. The cast of supporting characters is still well-written.

There's a section of the book that came very close to causing me to stop listening and delete the book from my library. Though the writing wasn't explicit (thank you, gentlemen), it was still very heavy. I would NOT recommend this book for a teen or someone who has any sort of PTSD from sexual situations.

I powered through and continued, and enjoyed the book. Now I'm waiting on #3.

Good Follow Up to Doomsday Recon
