Dr. Anarchy has succeeded! He's won! He took over the world! Well...one small corner of it at least. Now that he is God-Emperor of Rhode Island, he intends to show the world he's a lot more than an ordinary supervillain. As a head of state/celebrity/genius, he intends to make Rhode Island the greatest and most successful empire the world has ever seen. What could possibly go wrong?

Watch as that question gets answered.

A fantastic and unexpected continuation of the story with the same style and lovable humor as the first book I highly recommend this book and series!

I won’t lie, I am a bit of a Nelson Chereta fan boy… so it is no exaggeration that I’ve been waiting for this follow up for FAR too long. I am happy to state that it was mostly worth the wait (good things do come to those who wait). I loved the story and the characters. The story was a logical and a faithful continuation. With that said, I do have a two minor narrational comments that should be stated. 1) Unlike the first book, this installment is told completely in 3rd person. Although the approach is appropriate for the direction of the story, it robs the over all story of the personal insight that made the first book so fun. 2) in line with that notational approach, Dr Anarchy/Raven gets less story time, and thus the tone of the story is a lot more serious with fewer moments of pure humor. Not that this two points distract from the story, it’s simply should be stated so that people don’t go into this book expecting the same elements they loved in the first book. The universe than Nelson Chereta has created is still on of my favorites, but as with all stories, there are more than one points of view. I now sit back and begin the wait for book 3!!!

Michael Jackson is back… and the GodKing of Rhode Island to boot!

I love this story and there was no need for a sequel, the first book told the story it wanted to tell. This sequel is fairly short and nothing too crazy happens. It’s still keeps the spirit of the first one albeit with less jokes. The jokes that this one does have though are just as funny as the ones in the first book. Part of me likes that they do other people’s perspectives in this one besides the two main characters but I don’t think it was necessary, it kind of felt like padding (a little bit)

Safe sequel
