What does a master artificer need after eliminating a threat to the future empire? Nothing but a chance to finally pursue his craft in peace.

I cheated death itself and returned to the glorious city on the Neva, the one we built together with the Czar. Three hundred years have passed, and everything has changed. I've awakened in the body of a young count with a scandalous reputation.

But I am still an artificer. I am home. And I can become even stronger now—just as soon as I deal with a few lingering problems . . . and put a couple of particularly irritating nobles in their place.

I was hooked from the beginning. I tried to pace myself so the story wasn't over so quickly, but failed miserably.

Really looking forward to the next in the series.

Awesome take on magic and making artifacts. Exceptionally well written and executed. Having stone come to life 👍👍

Awesome New series

Poor acting. Voice to character was mismatched. The narrator reads in a sing song voice. I love the story and thought I might like to listen to the series while waiting for the next book to read.

Great story

If you like Roman Romanovich’s books, then you’ll probably like this. If you hate them like I do, then the slow place, the meandering flow, and the fact that it took about half of the book before any actual artificing was seen, all of that is enough for me to stop this boring book and ask for my credit back. I’d rather read Oleg Sapphire or any of the other Russian isekai books, at least they keep things interesting and entertaining, something this book fails to do.

Boring
