On August 6, 1945 the United States showed the world the results of their secret Manhattan Project, and the Japanese city of Hiroshima was destroyed with a cataclysm of fire by a pair of three-hundred-ton dragons they hatched, grew, and trained in the desert.

With the unstoppable power of dragons on our side, World War 2 came to a quick end. Unfortunately it wasn’t long until the communist Soviets got their hands on dragon eggs and birthed their own arsenal of dragons.

Now it’s 2025, the Cold War is still raging, the world is on the brink, and America’s best defense is still its dragons.

Jake Randall is a freshman at the United States Dragon Corps Academy, where he and other students, the best of the best, will train to be an elite dragon pilot. If Jake can balance his classwork, taming his dragon, the girls vying for his attention, and his rival pilots, he might just get his wings.

The overall story was pretty good. The voice acting was really great. The only thing that didn’t make much sense was that there was no parachute. In modern world where people flying around with dragons you think that would be mandatory.

Pretty Good

It's modern day Dragon pilots but the Cold war with Russia isstill a thing. It's a very fast burn romance culminating in chapter 6 being the first bit of spice. Mc wants to be squad leader and is very competitive. He's kinda pussy blind in the fact he has broken the rules numerous times to be with a girl. Some of which could get them both kicked out. Enjoyable and I'll be looking forward to book 2.

Fun start to a new series

I will keep my review short and simple. If you believe this is a story about Delta Force dragon riders fighting for the USA against the evil Russians…That is not it.

Though all the characters are in their mid twenties and been in the army for years they are written like a bunch of 14-17 year old kids. The story is a highschool dragon riding drama. It’s just terribly jarring how childish everyone is in the story. Do not buy unless you want that.
