Please note this is not a dark romance.

When I found my boyfriend cheating on me, I did something stupid. Or should I say, someone? Because of that mistake, I'm now stuck in a world I don't belong in. I'm a law student. They're criminals. He's the Vice President of a MC. I'm a good girl with a strict upbringing. He's my ex-boyfriend's brother. And I'm screwed.

Strong

Main character is strong. I like that. I’m not really into the whole MC thing but if you like that this is a good story.

Dex, Jax. Jax, Dex.

I'm shockingly surprised that I enjoyed this one. Most biker romances aren't very good, in my opinion. But this is one of the exceptions.

I really enjoyed the romance and the plot. The characters were great, too. The male lead was hot. Everything that is necessary for me to enjoy a book. Even the narrator was pretty dang good.

My online issue is the: there's very poor justification for a 'good girl' to agree to be with someone who is a criminal. She just accepts it because of love and that's just not enough. Not when this MC runs drugs and kills people. No one would compromise their ethics THAT much for love, mostly because it would be hard to love someone who participates in the drug trade OR kills people. Kristen Ashley is one of the few MC series that actually does this VERY well where the bikers in that series are mostly good outlaws so the female leads only have to deal with past criminal activities and outlaws with their own justice.

In this one, they're straight up outlaws with no moral reasoning for what they do, which makes it hard to justify having decent women fall in love with them. It just doesn't make sense. This is exactly the reason I don't usually read biker romances.

Otherwise, it was entertaining, fun and kept me enthralled throughout the entire book.

Very Entertaining

Where does Dragon’s Lair rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love it. Top 10.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Dex and Tracker. Dex was just everything you could want. Tracker was that almost that you could tell would have been amazing. Like, the almost would create total heartbreak if it had happened. I wouldn't want the heartbreak, but the chemistry was so there. Tracker seemed kinda to pine for her. It made your heart feel so full to see all of the love everyone had for Faye. I liked Faye. Don't get me wrong. She's great. The only issue was her wanting to keep it from Dex in the beginning.

What about Eva Christensen’s performance did you like?

Her voices were great. Even as Dex. It felt genuine.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There was laughing and giggling. The sads or the happy's were just the pangy achey feeling in my chest. It was great.

Makes your heart achey.. in a good way!
