It’s an easy choice with death at her doorstep. But even in the vastness of the Astral Sea, Axia quickly realizes that her new friends haven’t been entirely honest about their motivations.

It turns out, Axia is the spitting image of Blacktongue, the long-disappeared captain of one of the deadliest pirate crews in Shatterspace. And Kori and Nia have a plan to claim the mysterious treasure that the pirate queen vanished while pursuing. To survive, Axia will have to fill Blacktongue’s bloodstained boots and embark on a more perilous and thrilling adventure than any she’s dared to dream.

Fun little adventure

Solid action adventure fantasy with fun characters and a light read. It is the modern equivalent of pulp fantasy but less problematic. I would read more with these characters.

love the cast of characters…the author didn’t describe what the characters looked like very well.

A fun adventure!

This was an entertaining adventure with colorful (mostly female) characters who were written well. I don’t think you have to be a Dungeons and Dragons fan to enjoy it but it did help me understand the races and classes of the characters. Overall, very fun and enjoyable read!
