Leo barely defeated the invading orc armies and protected his nascent elf empire… Now, a new threat appears: the Red Plague.

This infection spreads through wounds from the infected creatures and drives those infected to serve a mysterious entity, the Blood Court. The plague is coming from Stonehaven, an ancestral seat of the dwarves who were once allied with Leo's elf empire.

Desperate to solve this problem, Leo must seek out magical allies to break the barrier keeping people out of Stonehaven, then enter the dwarven city—all the while trying to find a cure for the Red Plague itself and destroying the Blood Court.

With his old friends—Hugh, Lily, and Zir—as well as new and unexpected allies, Leo will seek to free Stonehaven and once again expand his elf empire.

[Contains a wacky bro dragon, a five-year-old stronger than the dragon, more quips than anyone wanted to see, and a complicated magical system with near-endless possible variety. Also, kingdom building, heartfelt dragon moments, and charts. Lots of charts.]

absolutely love what is happening here, but anytime Leo's daughter Neya is being performed I really want it to end immediatly. Here is hoping she doesn't play a big part in future books ..

very good, bar one voice

The second book is soundly built off the first one. The characters are growing but no one is omnipotent. Still got some great character depth and humanizing flaws creating a wonderful mesh in character conversations.

Honestly the leveler info is not necessary, it's just filler info that isn't really worth the ink and paper. just state quickly that the growing character gained this feat or something, done. Story definatly can stand alone.

Nice

it's a good enough litrpg. Great characters for the most part. The reasoning for copping out on the romance was asinine at best. It almost ruined the rest of the story because it was so stupid.

good story with one huge fumble.

I like the books but wasn’t he an engineer? When is hr gonna actually build something? Why is he a king? He isn’t doing any king stuff or building

This was a good story I finished it in a little over a day. The story flows well, they did a good job with the world building, sprinkled with action, comedy and character development.
The only thing I would say prevents ne from giving it a full 5 starts, was the stats system, I get that this type of series os all about stats, but it's way too detailed and gives alot of unnecessary information. I find myself zoning out once they start reading off the stats sheets, but despite that this was still an excellent book.

Good Story and easy to listen to
