I realize I’m screwed when Talbot Wynter crashes the party all combat boots, dirty jeans, and washboard abs. He feels me up, drinks all the booze, flirts with my grandmother, then tries to off my cheating ex in his hotel room. I scream and make him stop him because I may or may not still pathetically have feelings for my ex.

Talbot thinks I’m insane. He might be right. But his company has a strict no-refunds policy. Now I’m stuck dragging this six-foot-five, potty-mouthed menace of an ex-Marine to Christmas tree cuttings, gingerbread baking, and holiday parties—All while he tries to convince me to let him take out my ex so he can go snowboarding.

But what if my ex is moved by the holiday spirit and realizes he still loves me and comes home for Christmas? Or, he would if I could just get this hitman out of my bedroom… and my panties.

Fun Holiday Read!

What a fun read! Misty is a FMC you want to root for. She is kind and caring, yet severely taken advantage of. While he's a little rough around the edges, we love Talbot! This was a great addition to the Wynter Brothers line of books. Such a fun story and cute book! The spice is also really good!

She accidentally hires a hit man! I didn’t know whether to laugh or scream at all the wild moments in this book! And the bad boy who didn’t know he had already fallen was definitely the best part! Omg i want to ramble on with all my thoughts but id be here all day so ill just say listen to this extremely hot series you won’t be disappointed

Book 3 - Wynter Brothers - can be standalone

Another fantastic Christmas themed rom-com by Jacobs. Definitely one of my favorite authors! Well written and perfectly balanced with great dual narration by the talents of York and Calihan. Our main characters are Misty and Talbot. Misty comes across as a pushover, always being taken advantage of and not stepping up for herself and accidentally hires a hit man rather than an escort when planning to attend her stepsister and ex fiancé's engagement party. That's only the beginning of the disasters but definitely not the worst (in my opinion). So much humor and the banter and puns were priceless, not to mention the grannies and other secondary characters that just added to chaos and humor of this book. I loved the sass as well as the sweet and of course there is the heat, and Jacobs would never leave us without a HEA! Christmas romance comedy perfection yet again...I can't wait for more from Jacobs!

Plot twist

A little different story than some of the other Alina Jacobs stories. Talbot and Misty really mixed things up and made for a great read.

Irritating characters

This one was hard to rate, mainly because the FMC was so annoying for 85% of the book. She was more of a doormat than any other FMC I think I've ever read.

So Misty gets dumped at the altar by her jerk of a "boyfriend" who is cheating on her with her stepsister. (Who is an absolute brat.) She then gets bombarded into planning their wedding. (Insert one of many eyerolls here.) She thinks she is hiring a high-end escort to go to the engagement party with, and it turns out he's a hitman.

Her family is full of pretentious people, and they are entirely irritating for the entire book.
