A good realistic isekai

Realistic but not grimdark.
Pros:
The setting and the characters are believable.
The MC is growing at a realistic pace and is not OP.
The characters are interesting and well written. Makes you actually care about them.
Cons:
There is a lot of setup and not as much action.
Overall, I really liked the book. I hope the setup in this book pays off in the next one.

An excellent addition to a promising story, my only complaint is there isn't a next book on audible yet!

The author does an excellent job meshing tension, and suspense, with dread and hope clashing together at the climax of the story.
This is definitely a slow burn story, with plenty of slice of life aspects, measurable progression, consistent character building for the entire cast of characters, and intense action at the conclusion of the story, with a fine finish to the aftermath of said action.
This story has left me eagerly awaiting the next book in the series and I can't wait for it's future release!
In addition to the compelling story the narrator does an amazing job bringing this story to life, and has consistent voices for recurring characters. I'll be looking into other books narrated by him in the future.

All of that said, this is definitely a slower burn, that isn't for everyone, but it's a great breath of fresh air in the litrpg genre on audible.

Only critique I have, is that the mc, tends to stew in his dilemmas a bit too long, for a 17 year old reincarnated.

A fun story

The main character is fun to follow and shake your head at his antics. Sometimes he's a bit more childish than I would expect, but overall an enjoyable character. The world building has many unexplored threads that are pretty exciting. The side characters all have their own flavor. Overall, an enjoyable read
