A genetically modified virus killer mutates, transforming everyone it infects into zombies. As it rapidly spreads across the globe, small groups of survivors battle to stay alive and escape the growing hordes of flesh eaters.

Tom, Becky and their two children are on a family holiday when the virus hits. Follow them as they try to fight their way to safety, gathering others along the way. They soon realise that their best chance of survival will be to reach an ancient symbol of power and strength. Their future and safety lie behind a castle’s walls. Together they must undertake a daunting 100-mile journey.

A good surprise….

I was pleasantly surprised how good the story turned out to be. If I was writing a story, I think it would go something like this only because my trainer tend to align with the author on how a zombie apocalypse should go. Now with that said, the writing could be better and I say that because again it aligns with what I would write in a zombie apocalypse, lol but the storyline is good. The characters are good and camaraderie is good as I said it’s something I would write and I’m not a writer so it’s good for what it is.

Great Z story

Nothing new about the zombie world but was a great listen and narrative, characters, and storyline

Not 5 Star, But Good Listen

I thought the story was just average for this genre. I had a hard time following who all the different characters were. Still, it was a pretty good listen.

Good story. Great narrator. Bad writing.

I like the story. Group of survivors heading to a castle to survive the zombie apocalypse.

The narrator is great. The writing, not so much.

There's a part where our group meets some military members and the military immediately starts deferring to the civilians. The leader says the military was going to not interfere with the group fighting zombies but then saw how brave they were. Immediately threw me out of the story. From that point on, I was noticing similar things left and right. "Headshots are hard" so we'll use knives up close? That's putting people in more danger than necessary. Overall it was OK. But I won't be continuing the series.

Ok but nothing new

This was much like the Zombie Fallout Series, not very serious and very cheeky. A routine survival story about a family caught up in the ZA. Reader was ok.
