Lovely, Punchy and Well-crafted Novella

This books does such a good job of introducing the stakes early and not giving away too much too quickly. The Mystery of the White Vampire is engaging and is entangled more deeply entangled in Detective Helen Brant’s (MC) motivations and life than she realizes. The Queer representation in this book is lovely and showcases its difficulties in the 1940’s respectfully and fulfilling way. I’ve read this short and punchy Novella twice this month and I’ll be coming back to it more this year.

This book had a lot of my favorite tropes. A fun short read that was tightly written and well structured. I am going to recommend this to friends.

Good story and characters

I enjoyed this novella. The characters and story held my interest. Good message and the end was poignant.
