Great plot

Really creative story line with excellent narration. Would definitely listen to more from this author.

This book kept me engaged and I was immediately invested in the main characters.
It was well written and I’m definitely going to get the next installment.
Narration was great, too.

Great book!

This was an excellent book! Marisol was one badass chica who turned out to be one of the good guys! Sabrina was a goody two shoes with a stick up her you know what because she was the governor of Illinois. She then had her “Come to Jesus” moment in Columbia when she watched beloved being tortured.

The whole plot was very detailed and supportive characters blended well when needed. The narrator was very good and look forward to the next book!

Couldn't stop listening

Marisol got into a life of crime due to her mother being murdered by an unknown man who was possibly her father? At 5 years old she ran and became a street rat. she was abused by older kids and gangbangers. To survive she had to learn how to steal. She did not get into prostitution although one of her saviors was a prostitute. As she got older she got smarter, until caught and she got a life sentence.

An NSA agent visited her in prison and made her a deal due to the fact she was a criminal, but was against women and children being abused and human trafficking.

She met a woman in a bar named Sabrina and they spent the weekend together. Once Sabrina found out who Marisol was, AKA the Queen of Humboldt, she tried to go after her as she went after all other criminals.

What Sabrina never knew for the longest time was that Marisol was always looking out for her and saved her eight times from being assassinated.

A really good mafia boss versus the governor of Illinois story with a couple of 🌶️🌶️🔥 spicy moments.

The way it ends, you know you got to listen to the next book..

Wow! Just wow!!!

I read Queen of Humboldt when it came out a couple years ago and was hooked! I am always looking for sapphic books with Mafia/Crime boss as the main characters and there aren’t that many out there. This book surpassed my expectations and the audiobook took it to the next level. I loved Marisol’s strength and her resilience and loved Sabrina’s strong convictions to taking down corruption and crime in her state. The energy between these two are off the charts. This was a great story with lots of action and some touching moments-along with some steamy moments 🔥. I highly recommend! I really hope book 2 comes out on audio soon! Please!!! 🙏🏿🙏🏿
