Just absolutely fabulous!

I have been a fan of this author since the beginning of this series back in 1999. I am so happy to finally be able to hear her characters Dar and Kerry come to life in audio format. Best day ever in discovering this author. It is a long book. Melissa does not write short chunk stories to milk you for every dine. she is a very detailed writer who makes you live in the momment with her characters. I cannot wait for the next in the series.

I read the Dar and Kerry books many years ago and loved them. Listening to this book on audio brought this book back to life for me 😀. I loved Dar’s fierce loyalty and her protectiveness. She and Kerry are adorable together. I’m looking forward to the other books being on audio-please hurry 😀

A blast from the past

I remember when the Dar and Kerry series first came out in paperback. Goddess they were/are the best none racy sapphic books out there. (For those interested, Melissa even assisted/wrote an episode of Xena. Warrior Princess).
Dar is a high profile, beautiful, hot tempered computer genius working for the largest computer firm in the US. She is the walkin' talkin' epitome of "Hell in heels".
Kerry is a cute, saucy, brilliant young administrator who also happpens to be the daughter of a butt headed homophobic Senator from Minnesota. She is npush over but a little green eyed firecracker.
After their first fiery meeting over a hostile take over, Kerry goes to work for Dar...and let the fire works begin.
Keeping in mind that these books were written in the late 1990's - early 2000's, so some of the computer stuff and phrases are outdated, you will be hooked!
These are not sex based stories but books with real "meat on their bones". You actually have a story to follow with real in depth characters. You will cheer for them, cry with them and grow to love them. A definite must read for folks who like drama, romance and a bit of suspense.

Soulmates Reincarnated?

Kerry's actually name is odd and kerosene always comes to mind when it is mentioned.

Kerry'ss family AKA mother and father are something else. They take control to the extreme.

Dar and Kerry have kept me entertained on my long drive and except for getting a little sleep, I listened to this book nonstop.

It says there's mature content, but really there isn't. This could be considered R rated, due to the fact there is some kissing, touching and caressing, but nothing more than that except to say one is satisfied or satiated.

Time to go straight into book #2.

A fine romance

I really enjoyed this love story between two women, a tough business executive and her young new assistant. Both the characters and the development of their romance are believable and sympathetic. If the plot gets a little fanciful from time-to-time, well that's part of what we read romance novels for, right?

The author, Melissa Good, got started as the Queen of Xena, Warrior Princess fan fiction, and was so good that she was actually hired to write for the show, so she knows how to write a great story. The reader is excellent and does justice to the story. I would recommend this to anyone interested in a satisfying lesbian love story.
