Now after two weeks of insanity, Iain thinks he's caught a break. Of course, with the System involved, things aren't so easy—they never are. No, as it turns out, he's stumbled into an ongoing experiment meant to enslave humanity and leave Earth a barren wasteland. And that's just the local issues. Once he gets a look at the big picture, the implications are clear, someone wants to bring the Universal Collective to its knees.

As if that wasn't bad enough, the past is coming back to haunt him in ways he never expected.

Mr Lang is really getting the story rolling with characters and world getting more and more fleshed out!

I absolutely love the authors ability to bring the reader or listener into the world he is creating. it's really interesting how he has built a world with our own at its core and how he represents many marginalized people in his works.
