Deep in the untamed wilderness of the notorious Darien Gap, a soldier wakes. Injured, he has no memory of who he is or why he is there until a beautiful woman tells him his name. But can he trust her?

When Mari Dias stumbles upon Chris Shaw in the jungle - a place many risk but few survive - she enlists his help to escape a country ruled by the very family who hunts her.

As Chris and Mari search for sanctuary out of the jungle, filters of his past return in slow increments. As they grow closer, so do their enemies. Can he battle the storm that threatens them all?

This was a fast-paced, high-stakes read set in the treacherous Darien Gap. The story hooks you instantly as the soldier, Chris Shaw, wakes up with total amnesia, only finding a connection with the woman he literally stumbles upon, Mari Dias. Their race for sanctuary is intense, especially as Mari is being hunted by a powerful family. I loved watching the fragments of Chris's past return as they battled the literal and figurative "storm" threatening them both. A thrilling romantic suspense!

Audio Narration Review
Once again, Regan Brown does a spectacular job! I love her work; she is an excellent narrator, especially when it comes to women's stories. While I most enjoy her cozy mystery narrations, she truly delivers the suspense and emotional tension needed for a novel like this. Her consistent quality makes every book a great listen.

This is the second book in the Gray Ghost series. This is an audio book and is just under 6 hours. This story follows Chris and Mari. Chris was on a mission when he is fired upon and his parachute is damaged. He lands in the jungle, injured and unconscious. Mari is running from danger and stumbles upon him and pretends to be his wife in hopes of his help. As they struggle on through the jungle to find their way out, his memory slowly returns, but it is too late. Sparks have already started flying between him and Mari. Will he be able to save them?

Great Series So Far!
