People keep going missing.

Dan Means, a boy living with Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension agent Danny Carlisle, tells her his cousin is missing. Then Danny’s cousin calls to tell her that Danny’s second cousin has also disappeared – along with another man.
And Danny’s husband Jeff has let her know that two of the homeless men he serves at his mission seem to have vanished.

Danny has no time for this. She is deeply involved in trying to solve a series of robberies at north shore resorts that have resort owners and vacationers worried. Pressed to stop the robberies before more occur, Danny finds her new partner is of little help. She also finds she cannot ignore the requests to find the missing people – all men.

Before she knows it, her inquiries into the missing take her down a trail of kidnapping, drugs, and murder. A dark trail where she finds herself alone – and likely to lose much more than just her job.

love Danny. Like the new character. wondering what's next.

The terrible virtual voice. it never pronounces words correctly and can easily change the story line.

AI is terrible!

I really dislike the AI narrating. Words are not pronounced, accurately and inflections are wrong often times. Both of these contribute to the story not unfolding correctly.
I’m thinking of only listening to audiobooks that are narrated by real people.

AI sucks

Story is great as usual. Narration sounds totally fake. Says mo for M.O. Note a fan of Ai narration. could not listen anymore switched to kindle.
