“Facts Are Stubborn Things” by Richard A. Danzig is a smart, suspenseful, and deeply human thriller that takes readers inside the courtroom—and far beyond it.

When Brooklyn litigator Chance Cormac reluctantly agrees to handle a simple divorce case as a favor, he’s drawn into a web of international money laundering, corruption, and betrayal. What begins as a family dispute soon spirals into something far more dangerous—forcing Chance to face brutal truths about the law, loyalty, and himself.

Blending gritty courtroom drama, sharp dialogue, and moral depth, Danzig delivers a story that is both page-turning and profound. The novel’s emotional core lies in its unforgettable characters: Sally, a paralegal and former lover; Damian, a Navy SEAL turned investigator; and Chance himself—a fighter both in and out of the ring, wrestling with faith, pride, and redemption.

The story flows without a lot of side stories that go nowhere, It is a book that you can listen to, put it down for a day and resume listening stop without losing the flow of the plot. The story is full of action, intrigue, and suspense. I will be looking for other books by this author.

Great story. Great author.

Very hard to understand conversations and other inflection dependent sentences due to the way it was read: who said what? The way the numbers were read was hilarious. I will NEVER get another audio book read this way. Story predictable— character not a very good attorney or person.

Very bad AI audio. Story OK but not great.

Enjoyed this legal thriller despite virtual voice. Wish it had been
narrated by a human.

When you are listening to the author and the character attorney, or other characters are speaking and don’t say the correct words, or they are mispronounced it takes away from the story. Overall the story was great…but AI isn’t the way to go if you want to sell your listeners. I found myself trying to figure out the correct words when AI didn’t decipher took away from what I feel would have had a more positive impact on the overall story

AI isn’t the way to sell listeners

This is the first titile that I have experienced and frankly it needs help. While the voice itself is ok, It is the same monotone voice for all characters with virtually no spacing nor change of tone to alert you who is saying what. If you are going to use AI to replace voice actors at least have a different voice for each character or make some other adjustment.
The story itself was good but I almost gave up due to the performance or lack thereof.
Fix it AUDIBBLE!!!!!!

AI needs a tunup
