Meet Tyler Kane—a unique man with a unique title who takes on unique clients. Kane lives in a fast-growing suburb of Nashville, Tennessee. He was a highly successful corporate lawyer for many years before he retired and dove into the arena of criminal law after he lost his wife in a tragic accident. He becomes a defense attorney, but he doesn’t refer to himself as such. He’s a serious-minded man of principle and ethics. But he’s willing to do whatever it takes to get the charges against his clients dismissed. Kane takes on a client who is a normal-looking young man with a story to tell that isn’t so normal—a story that ultimately results in his arrest for the murder of the wife of a local investor. With seemingly insurmountable evidence, the Assistant DA wraps the noose so tightly around the young man’s neck that even Kane’s assistants begin to question his innocence. But Tyler Kane is always devoted to his clients. The clock is ticking. Kane and his team must move fast. But will they move fast enough? Bizarre characters challenge them as they investigate the case, any one of whom could be the killer. Will Kane be able to unravel the evidence against his client before it’s too late? Will he be able to prevail over the crafty Assistant DA in the courtroom? Find out now in this exciting new legal thriller from award-winning author Michael Pickford. I got hooked on the story, it’s the only reason I could finish listening to the book. Virtual narration is about as interesting as watching paint dry-

Great storyline.

This book was a very engaging story narrated by virtual voice. I think it's because the narrative is matter of fact, not literary, which is perfect for a legal thriller. It kept me wondering how the D.A. was going to win despite summountable evidence.

The book is great with wonderful characters and phenomenal research. No copycat legal mystery here but very original story and players. I definitely will look for follow up books by this author. I’m hoping there is no AI generated narration as it was very distracting and at times Li g sentry seemed to be choppy with zoos and starts and words like lead could be pronounced two ways and it was! Not good at all. Please get a real person!!

Excellent book!

A little slow in the beginning and confusing with how Jeremy came in the story. Who left the back door open? Two military snipers in the same neighborhood. How such a small thing as changing the glass in the shower we’ll not such a small to clear my client, you know….

Mold on the wrong side

The characters were described with enough critical detail to give me a good picture of the depicted situations.
