Great life lessons

This book had great life lessons and I learned a lot. It was a little hard to listen to for me since she was a little monotone through the story. She is a BEAST though and I’m honored to have read her book!

Intriguing life experience

I like the way she tells her stories with her vocal variety that makes it enjoyable listening to her audiobook. An inspiration to be fearless in male dominant career.

Fantastic!

This was exactly what I had been looking for in a leadership book. The military offers so many opportunities to learn about effective and impactful leadership. I found every chapter extremely engaging and began immediately thinking of ways I could challenge myself to be a fearless leader. I really like how the book broke down very specific ideas/principles on leadership and exactly how to apply them. This book was a recommendation from a friend that saw Carey speak in person and while I am so grateful they shared the book with me, I am now quite jealous I did not get to see her speak in person as well. Highly recommend this book!

Backstory backs the message

I had the privilege of first hearing the author in person. The book is written and story told in a way that weaves leadership lessons together with important life lessons into her story of achieving a dream and overcoming adversity through resilience (and optimism.) I very much enjoyed this, and found it best taken in small bits. Thank you for your service, Mrs. Lorenz!

Outstanding fearless approach 

Carey did a great job with discussing how leaders can be fearless. My issue, however, as a retired Naval flight surgeon is that there are quite a few instances where leadership, both military and civilian, will punish fearless leaders, even when the fearless leaders are right. I would love to see how she negotiates through these processes. 
Nevertheless, I appreciate the reminders on how to increase my team's resilience and productivity, especially in the face of severe adversity. Her reminders have definitely improved my new team's dynamics.
