His power rules the city—but she rules his heart.

Finn O’Reilly is stern, powerful, and confident. He oversees his hotel and his syndicate with a commanding presence and leadership, knowing any weakness could be used against him.

And he has none. Except Una Murphy. The woman he lost his heart to and still loves, even though she wants nothing to do with him.

Or so she claims.

When her life is in peril, he won’t stop until she is safe and back where she belongs—with him.

Can he rescue her?

Convince her to stay?

Will she be a part of his world, regardless of the danger, knowing she is safer with him than apart?

She is his world.

He simply needs to convince her.

Melanie Moreland can write a phone book and I will read it! Of course it has to be narrated by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell! Finn has taken first place in my Morally gray reads. This is saying a lot since I have read all of Melanie Moreland books, and was completely in love with the Men of the Falls and Men of Hidden Justice series. There is just something special about a man who knows he is in love from the very beginning and has no fear of displaying that love to the heroine.

I will add this book to my to my must re-read and re-listen list!

this was an incredible performance by these two narrators the Irish accent not overly Irish but definitely had that Irish accent and sometimes it was a little thicker than others which is perfect I think somebody who lives in a different country than their home country would have that but the story I I do I have all the feelings I can feel this story had me freaking crying at some parts that I was in public when that happened I was waiting for someone to say something to me because I was balling in public absolutely a wonderful story I highly recommend

incredible

Finn is the ruthless head of an Irish syndicate, but Una is his one weakness—and their second-chance love story had me hooked from page one. He’s possessive, protective, and so fiercely devoted. Their chemistry? Off the charts.

The action, the tension, the lovable side characters—Melanie nailed it again. Even with the darker themes, the romance still hit that sweet, emotional note she’s known for. I wish there was an epilogue, but I’m hoping we’ll see more in Niall and Anna’s book.

And the narration? Incredible. John Lane’s Irish accent was swoony perfection, and Maxine Mitchell brought so much heart. Together, they made the story come alive.

If you love broody Irish mafia kings and steamy, high-stakes romance, don’t miss this one.

I loved this book. I was enchanted with moments of rage. Finn’s love for Una was perfection. He worshiped her. One of my favorite things to read is watching a strong man be a marshmallow for their woman. It makes my heart do a happy dance. I’m still so angry with one of the characters that I am not even going to mention him, but I don’t forgive him.

Maxine Mitchell is the queen of female narration for all the reasons. John Lane was new to me and I loved hearing him. His Irish accent was one point. The way these two blended their voices and pronunciation of words was truly top notch.

Bravo 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Book review:
What can I say? Morally grey is my favourite colour!
Melanie Moreland kept me captivated with Finn and Una's story, I didn't want to put it down.

What's the Irish Canadian mafia equivilent of pining for a heroine? Because that's what Finn has been doing and oh boy is that swoonworthy! I loved that Una's happiness was his priority, whether that included him in her life or not.

Una is a quiet, strong heroine. She is the kind of heroine that you admire - she's caring, loyal, protective and resilient. I love that she had goals in life and worked hard for them.

In Finn's world he will always face adversaries but the ones he faced with Una... Melanie Moreland wrote this so well that it physically turned my stomach.

I loved the touches of Irish (Gaeilge) and the Irish phrases that appeared in the book. I loved Niall and the hints of his story to come.

Absolutely amazing!
