Good story

Cian meets Skyler in a tense situation where things aren’t as they seem. They have an attraction that neither can deny, even though they try. I enjoyed this story. I also listened to the audio where the narrators did a great job at bringing the story to life.

I did not enjoy this story as much. love the narrators but the story was a little lame for me. this is one of my favorite authors. this story just didn't do it for me.

Complicated Storm

This may be my favorite narration by John Lane and Maxine Mitchell. I already loved the story written by Melanie Moreland it's funny, and complicated, there are secrets and mystery, there is danger and a bit of drama, but it's the relationships in the story and the emotion.
John and Maxine bring Skylar and Cian right off the page with the banter, tension, vulnerability, even the playfulness and laughter.
This is a story I can and will listen to over and over again.

This is not my favorite Melanie book by far. But I know I will listen to many times like all her books. she is always worth my credit!

Exceeds my expectations

When I see Maxine and John’s name attached to an audiobook I immediately drop everything and jump in. I knew I was in for a mesmerizing journey especially with this fabulous story by MM. John performing Cian gave me chills. His warm, rich and deep voice always gives me goose bumps. And Maxine as Skylar… such a refreshing and sweet sound. She definitely hit her sassiness spot-on. It was such an enjoyable listen. I can’t get enough of this pair especially when they take MM’s characters and bring them to life. They always exceed my expectations and deliver the best performances. The stories they narrate are always memorable and live rent-free in my mind.
