I'm not the kind of guy who lusts after strangers, but the man pulling up next to me on his bike is muscular and hot as hell. I let myself look, and he gives me a scorching grin in return. Then the light turns green, he peels away, and I figure I'll never see him again. Except he almost gets hit by a minivan, and I stop to make sure he's okay. Inviting him back to my place to make sure he has no lasting damage is just professional care, but damn, Ulysses can kiss. Pretty soon, we're burning up the sheets together. Sadly, when I wake up, I find myself alone. Do I have to chalk this up to a one-night stand, or might I find the mysterious Ulysses again if I try?

Short but a great teaser!

I loved this short teaser for Gabbi Grey’s next novel. I can’t wait to read it. Michael Dean did another fine job performing this story.

Great Teaser for the upcoming Ulysses's Ultimatum

I was so intrigued by Finn when he was introduced in 'Quinton's Quest'. I am even more intrigued by whatever corruption/crime cover-up that Quinton overheard an unknown person having a conversation about in the Emergency Department in 'Quinton's Quest' as well. I was hoping to learn more about that in this short story about Finn. We do not, really, but there is a nice little surprise twist pointing in that direction at the end of the story. This short story introduces a new character, Ulysses MacDonald, who features in the upcoming novel 'Ulysses's Ultimatum' as a love interest for Finnegan O'Sullivan. Their connection was immediate, and Finn, being the tortured soul that he is, may have fallen in love with Ulysses after their single encounter. Finn's sadness is touching and heartbreaking. I kind of want to punch Ulysses in the face for lying to him and breaking his promise to have coffee with him in the morning. Finn deserves better. This was a great interconnecting story between the main books 6 and 7 of the 'Love in Mission City' series. It's going to be a long and tortuous wait for the Ulysses's Ultimatum to be released on audiobook for me.
