The characters stand out!

I can’t believe I found a Dick Francis book which I had not read. A super story with characters believable and human. Highly recommend!!

A little different than a lot of Dick Francis’s novels.

A great book. Only a few scenes on a race track. The protagonist is indeed an amateur jockey but also a pilot.

very original twists, motives, story line, most dramatic cliffhanger I've ever read. Most excellent narration in my experience.
