Interesting story line.

A very enjoyable narration! This is new author for me. I hope to listen to more of her books.

Happy ending

Fun story. It’s unusual for this genre of books to talk about acne and obesity. This young woman transforms from the ugly duckling to a beautiful 🦢 swan. The end explains so much that to me was a surprise

Sooo good!

This is the first time I have listened to this narrator but I will be seeking her out again, she is amazing. She even does MC so well, not in the least cringy or nasally. The story and the characters are in my top favorites now, I love them both. I loved the development of the story and the length. I’m busy and distracted lately and it didn’t drag along and lose my attention except SPOILER after the main characters finally got together, discussed the hurt and problems of the past and declared their undying love it should have ended. Instead we got 30 minutes of the miscommunication tripe🙄 wherein the mmc totally out of character falls for gossip and lies and disappears without giving the MFC a chance to dispute or explain.

Satisfying! 

Great story of plain, plump girl attracting brilliant, handsome explorer with her intelligence and enthusiasm. He is duped into being part of a scheme to humiliate her, then leaves the country on a trip for six years.. She marries an unattractive loser who conveniently dies after four years. By then she has trimmed down and smartened up, all the while retaining her “spectacular bosom“. She and her cousin decide to reek vengeance on those who tormented her years ago.
The hero is admirable and true, and when the time comes, he’s willing to grovel quite endearingly. Fortunately, for the reader, the heroine has developed a backbone, and despite a major crisis towards the end of the book, refuses to be manipulated by the people who mistreated her in the past. This leads to an HEA to thrill the hearts of plump, smart girls everywhere.

WONDERFULLY ROMANTIC

So much to live about this book. Wonder message about not judging a book but mostly the pages are filled with swoonworthy moments as we watch these two fall madly in love.
