Brilliant saga

I loved everything about this exceptional series - the fast moving narrative, the gorgeous descriptions, the impertinent hero and heroine, and Ian McKellen.

Exceptional as always

I have been reading the Chronicles of Ancient Darkness series for years. It's complex, well thought out and imaginative. I had never gotten to listen to any of the audiobooks until now and I'm delighted that I finally did. Ian McKellen does an amazing job and his voice is a pleasure to listen to.

Missing Books!

Audible doesn't have books 2 and 3. WTF? BOOKS 1, 4, 5, AND 6. Really idiotic. They should warn you not to buy any of them, as you really need to read the 1st 3 to understand the last 3.

I liked this better than 4 & 5

I must have bought this before it became unavailable on Audible. As for the story, one essential tool - a tally board. If you don't tally at least 5 near death experiences in each chapter, you need to rewind and count again. Increasing death counts as a series progresses seems to be the rule for fantasy books these days.

A good conclusion to a good series

Ian McKellen adds a great flavor to an above average, well-crafted and well-executed Young Adult series. Torak and Wolf will be missed. Will definitely share these stories with my kids in the future.
