AHHHH.. GIOVANNI, GIOVANNI, GIOVANNI

I don’t know how this awesome book initially got by me, I love Natasha Knight.. she always writes dark stories so well and gives them enough light for you to see the damaged people behind their masks, their pain, their passion and the possibilities for their futures. And Giovanni delivered it by the bucketful.

Two very damaged people.. a Mafia Boss and a once pampered Cartel Princess.. one is capable of breaking people - the other IS broken, but some how some way, this talented author manages to man handle, manoeuvre and mesh their broken world’s into something wonderful.. love. It’s a very bumpy ride of secrets, revelations, danger, acceptance, strength, retribution and a rebirth into the light. The chemistry is explosive, the sex is hot, the feels are endless, the tension is high, the hero is all kinds of bad.. and all kinds of lip-likin good too and the very damaged yet feisty heroine does have her ‘duh TSTL’ moments. Natasha’s dual POV plot also throws in drama, angst, violence, secrets, a villain or two and bloodshed and brain matter in amongst the passion and pleasures. Emilia has to let go of her past.. and Giovanni is going to slaughter because of it.

Worth a credit? Oh boy yep definitely.. Natasha (IMO) is the Queen of dark with her brooding, dangerous, possessive, alpha males who like to be in charge.. especially in the bedroom.. or kitchen.. or any wall.. or any surface.. Hell he doesn’t even need a surface!!! And this book, in the hand of two very talented narrators (.... ahhhh Aiden Snow), sprung to life, packed a punch, sizzled and cracked and became, for me, an unstoppable 5 star audiobook.

Great Mafia romance

Absolutely loved this story. It's such an intense listen. Emilia and Giovanni are perfect for each other. Very heated scenes. If you like dark romance, you'll love this. I wish It were longer, but Ill listen to it again.

Wonderful Story

This was my first audio book and I loved it. The story, narration, and flow were great

YESSSS!!

I am a sucker for a mafia book. But I am one of those readers that needs to read series in order even if they are loosely connected. Drives me absolutely crazy. It wasn't until I went to mark on Goodreads that I was reading it, that I noticed it was book 4 in this series. Had no idea. But I'm sooo happy that this was a true standalone. At least to me it didn't spoil anything from the previous 3.

Overall, this book was amazing! I couldn't stop listening especially the second half of the book. I kept wondering what would happen next and I couldn't press the pause button.

Now to rewind and read the previous 3! Can't wait to read more of Natasha's work!!

Emilia and Giovanni

An intensely dark, gritty, and raw story. Giovanni is deliciously ruthless, dangerous, and dominating but when it comes to Emilia his protective nature comes into play. Emilia is strong and loyal but tortured by her past. They are two people with demons who find a common ground amongst them. They have a beautiful intensity that is exquisitely captivating. I enjoyed every single thrilling second of this story. Narration was perfection. Aiden Snow is always outstanding. Kate Genevieve is new to me, she was fantastic. I loved listening to them both bring these complex characters to life.
