I liked this book.

I thought the revamped ugly duckling theme found some new material, I fell in love with the characters, I really cared about their lives and understood their motivations...both good and not so good. I would recommend this highly to anyone who loves a love story with a little punch.

Shocked that I'm disappointed

I love her books but not this one. It wasn't typical of her. Most of it was almost boring. "chicken scene" disturbing and unnecessary. I didn't bond with any of the characters.

It was ok but...

So many different deviatrions from the path to the lessons learned by all the characters. I couldn't put it down, though.

Shallow writing makes this dull...

I originally bought this listen as I found the concept interesting. But the writing is very basic, elementary and "beach read" level, with minimal description, character development, and classic cookie-cutter characters.

A bad soap opera with a reader with an annoying voice . Kept thinking it would get better
