wonderful! I could see the scenes in my mind.

I could imagine the wind and waves and smell the Atlantic. it's a very good read.

Very nicely intertwined plot

This is one of the better books by Monroe. The plot is well developed as are the characters. The plot weaves back and forth in time and is very engaging.

So close to heart and home

This is one of the best stories I have ever heard. I grew up on the NC coast amongst fishermen and hurricanes. I could easily place my family or a neighbor in this wonderful story . Read from the heart. I have smiled and cried listening to a story of love, loss and what it means to be the wife of a fisherman/shrimper. Thank you
